This morning I heard Pat O'Brien on WCAI say that "discharging" water is an industry-wide practice that will "have to be looked at." It leaves the impression that if it's industry-wide, why not just discharge? Is Holtec planning on taking the heat of a "black eye," that the public will soon forget within 6 months? Keep writing Rep. Keating and Senators Markey and Warren. Write to our State Senators and Reps. Let's not let Holtec get away with anything.

I think the key is to now not only begin to take steps to oppose the amendment to the permit, but also to pursue actions under the Settlement Agreement and MA Law. This also leaves a legislative route open in the new session. There are many arrows in our quiver, so onward we go!
